Philippe joined Sopartec/VIVES in 2006. He brings more than 15 years’ experience in venture capital and more a decade in the technology transfer activities. Since 2006, he is the CEO of Sopartec, the technology transfer and investment company of UCLouvain.
In 2011, he contributed to launch the largest university seed university fund in Europe (€43M). He brings expertise in the inception of science based start-up, has a good business acumen to recruit CxO/Directors to create dream team and has a proven track record in trade sales/MBO/turnaround.
Philippe is a Non-Executive Director of various portfolio companies. He chairs some Boards and Audit/Remco committees.
Prior to join Sopartec, Philippe was Senior Investment Manager at Dexia Ventures and Credit Analyst at WestLB.
Philippe holds a master degree in Economics from UCLouvain and a Post-graduate diploma in Financial
