Botalys has developed a technology (vertical farming) that allows to produce rare plants and ingredients for the food supplement, cosmetics and pharmacy industries. Vertical farming allows them to cultivate highly bioactive medicinal plants that are difficult to cultivate using traditional farming methods.

The first plant produced is Panax Ginseng. The root so produced contains 10-15x more noble ginsenosides than the root produced in the natural environment, in 4-5 months (vs.4-5 years in open fields). Other plants are under development...
